TES Shortlist Sports Award

The TES Independent School Awards sees some of the best institutions in the independent sector compete for a number of awards every year.

In 2018, Surbiton High School were proud winners of the TES Creativity Award, and this year they are delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted for the 2019 Sports Award.

Surbiton High School’s Principal, Rebecca Glover, says of their nomination:

“It is fantastic to be shortlisted for the TES 2019 Sports Awards.  Surbiton High School is passionate about delivering a broad sporting curriculum that provides our pupils with an outstanding experience of physical education and instils in them an innate desire to continue to enjoy sport later in life.  Being shortlisted is a wonderful recognition of our dedicated and specialist sports staff who bring the curriculum to life with great passion and dedication.

Sporting activities are an essential component of our Co-curricular programme, providing all pupils with an engaging range of diverse opportunities with which to complement their academic studies.  Whatever their individual sporting interests may be, and at whichever level they may play, they work with top coaches and gifted teachers who are fully committed to bringing out the very best in each pupil.”
