Surbiton High School has made history this year with unparalleled success in national football, capturing eight national titles across the most prestigious competitions, including a standout victory in the 2025 Utilita Girls Cup Grand Final at Wembley Stadium.
The School secured titles in multiple age categories entered in the English Schools Football Association (ESFA) competitions, completing a clean sweep of victories. The School’s Football Programme continues to set a national benchmark for performance and development in School sports.
ESFA National Finals: Dominance Across All Age Groups
The scale of our achievement in the English Schools Football competition has never been achieved before, and is particularly impressive given the level of national competition across each age category:
- U13 National A Team (9-a-side): Champions out of 494 schools, with a 3-1 final victory, winning the title for the second consecutive year.
- U13 National B Team (9-a-side): Triumphed over 32 competing schools with a 3-2 final scoreline.
- U15 National A Team (11-a-side): Won 1-0 in a final against a strong field of 375 schools.
- U15 National B Team (9-a-side): Secured a narrow 1-0 win among 19 competing schools, defending their title from the previous year.
- U16 National A Team (11-a-side): In a competitive field of 340 schools, the team secured a historic fourth consecutive national title with a 2-1 victory in the final, featuring a predominantly Year 10 squad due to GCSE commitments.
- U18 National A Team (11-a-side): Claimed their first-ever title in this age category with a disciplined 1-0 victory from a pool of 125 schools.
This clean sweep highlights the School’s sustained strength and consistency, surpassing previous years when four and three teams reached national ESFA finals, respectively.
