Is your daughter starting school next year, or ready for a new challenge in Year 3? Here are the key dates and steps for joining our Girls’ Prep in September 2027. Both registration deadlines fall on the day School returns after half-term, so it is worth putting them in your diary now.
Our Girls’ Prep, on Surbiton Road, welcomes girls from Reception to Year 6, and for many families it is the start of a journey that continues all the way through our Senior School and Sixth Form.
Reception entry, September 2027
- 12 noon, Monday 2 November 2026: registration deadline (application fee £200, or £250 for overseas applicants)
- Saturday 7 November 2026: Stay and Play session
Our Stay and Play sessions take place in small groups. Your daughter will have the chance to explore our facilities and enjoy a range of activities while our staff get to know her. We will also ask for a report from her current nursery or pre-school, and we may arrange to visit her there.
Offers are made after the sessions, and places are secured with a non-refundable deposit paid by BACS. Availability for Reception this academic year is very limited, so please contact our admissions team if you are hoping to join sooner.
Year 3 (7+) entry, September 2027
Year 3 is a natural point to join, as girls move into Key Stage 2 and on to a wider range of subjects and responsibilities.
- 12 noon, Monday 2 November 2026: registration deadline (application fee £200, or £250 for overseas applicants)
- January 2027 (date to be confirmed): entrance assessment
The assessment covers mathematics (number operations, fractions and shapes) and English (reading, writing and comprehension), and we will ask your daughter’s current school for a report beforehand. If an offer is made, the place is secured with a non-refundable deposit paid by BACS.
Looking further ahead
Girls at our Girls’ Prep are guaranteed a place in Year 7 at our Senior School. They still take part in the assessment and interview, but most of our girls move up together, which gives families real continuity from the age of four to eighteen.
Other year groups
Occasional places are available in other year groups. Please contact our admissions team to check availability; girls joining at these points take an age-appropriate assessment.
