Posted: 22nd January 2024

Surbiton High School is thrilled to announce that we have won a 2023 Silver InspirEd School Marketers Brilliance Award for our ‘Enrollment/Admissions Video, Outsourced’ in the only international competition that recognises excellence in private and independent school marketing and communications. The Brilliance Awards are sponsored by InspirEd School Marketers, a community that provides ‘brilliant ideas and brain food’ for private school administrators worldwide.

The entries were judged by a volunteer panel of 88 marketing experts from around the world who are professionals in private schools or businesses that specialise in private school marketing. The entries were scored on originality, persuasiveness, copy/script/dialogue, visual elements, execution, and overall appeal. The judges praised the energy of the school’s ‘Education Unleashed’ video produced by Affixxius Films. Watch the video.

The judges were particularly impressed with the video’s exceptional student narration, describing it as “awesome.” One of the judges expressed, “The student narration is awesome, the video is upbeat, includes school keywords, illustrates the diversity of the school body, and love the time-lapse.”

The judges acknowledged the video’s intelligent use of initialism within the script, praising its seamless translation to on-screen graphics, thereby enhancing the overall viewer experience. The energetic and stereotype-defying approach of the video was also noted as particularly effective.

Surbiton High School expresses its gratitude to the team instrumental in creating this award-winning video. Miles Latham, Managing Director of Affixxius Films, James Cookson, Director of Affixxius Films, Billy King, Senior Producer at Affixxius Films, and Sara Stockdale, Surbiton High School’s Director of Marketing, Communications, and Admissions, all played pivotal roles in achieving this success.
