It was a fantastic weekend of racing for the school ski teams, with podium finishes, strong performances and qualification for the British Championships in Edinburgh this November.
Saturday saw the teams compete in the ESSKIA Finals, where the U14 team of Mia, Izzy, Clara and Emmy delivered an outstanding performance to finish 1st in their age category, taking the top spot. The U19 team of Saskia, Lizzy, Sophia and Talula also enjoyed a successful day, finishing 2nd in their age category. Meanwhile, the prep school mixed team of Lewis, Rose and Hannah put in a great performance to secure 4th place, narrowly missing out on 3rd!
On Sunday, attention turned to the ESSKIA Open Championships, where teams competed for qualification to the British Championships in Edinburgh this November. The A team of Saskia, Isa, Sophie and Sophia raced brilliantly to claim 3rd place, while the B team of Lizzy, Talula, Clara and Mia finished a strong 5th place.
Both teams secured qualification, earning their places among the eight teams representing England at the British Championships. This is a fantastic achievement and a brilliant reward for all the hard work, commitment and teamwork shown throughout the season.
Congratulations to all the skiers on an excellent weekend of racing, with some superb results and an exciting trip to Edinburgh to look forward to in November!
