The Spring Ensembles Concert, featuring the Music Department’s larger instrumental groups, was a vibrant celebration of talent, energy, and community at Surbiton High School. Bringing together pupils from Year 7 through to the Sixth Form, the evening highlighted not only musical skill but also the strong sense of collaboration that runs through the Senior School.

The programme offered an engaging and varied selection of repertoire, from well-known classical works to lively musical theatre numbers and rhythmic Latin American guitar pieces. Each ensemble performed with confidence and musicality, demonstrating careful preparation and a clear enjoyment of performing together.

What stood out most was the pupils’ commitment to their craft and to one another. The concert was not only a showcase of high standards of music-making, but also a reflection of the enthusiasm and dedication that pupils bring to co-curricular life at Surbiton High School. It was an uplifting evening that celebrated both individual contribution and collective achievement.
