Our Young Enterprise teams have had an exciting and rewarding journey this year. They began by choosing their team names and fundraising, then moved on to product design, branding and marketing, before finally selling their creations at events and markets including the Fashion Show, Spitalfields Market, Portobello Market and Kingston Market. Along the way they developed key skills such as resilience, teamwork, pitching and selling. Every student contributed a variety of strengths and the results have been fantastic.
One Step Ahead designed a creative wellness kit. Each set included a plant pot, brushes and paints, basil seeds with soil and a recipe card offering a healthy recipe that uses home-grown basil. Their mission was to support mental wellbeing through creativity. They aimed to raise awareness of mental health in young teens and encourage stress relief through simple activities like painting and gardening, especially as students approach more stressful years at school.

ReviseWise produced an impressive all-in-one revision guide designed to transform how students prepare for exams. It teaches proven, subject-specific revision methods such as blurting and includes practical tools for planning. With its weekly planner and dedicated revision journal, the guide helps students turn exam preparation into a calm, structured and successful routine.
Both teams shone at the Young Enterprise Trade Fairs. ReviseWise won Best Overall Company at Spitalfields Market and Best Trade Stand at Kingston Market, while One Step Ahead were Highly Commended for outstanding customer service. At last night’s Young Enterprise Company of the Year Awards, both teams were recognised as Finalists in the Kingston Showcase, with ReviseWise winning the Innovation Award and One Step Ahead winning the Marketing Award.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their creativity, teamwork and determination. Their achievements reflect the hard work they put in and the resilience they showed when facing challenges along the way. Well done to both teams.
We now look forward to celebrating our Young Enterprise students with their parents at the end of the Summer term at the Surbiton Young Enterprise Awards.
