As part of our ongoing commitment to pupil well-being, pupils enjoyed a series of outdoor SCOPE activities during their PSHE lessons last week, making the most of the beautiful sunshine in the quad!

Year 8 pupils took part in a creative and hands-on gardening activity, planting sunflower seeds in their own pots. They decorated their pots, carefully filled them with soil, planted the seeds, and reflected on how they themselves have grown over the year. The pupils are looking forward to watching their sunflowers grow in their classrooms over the coming weeks!

Meanwhile, Year 9 pupils focused on relaxation and mindfulness. They experienced a guided meditation on our new Silent Disco equipment, helping them to slow down and focus on their breathing. They also engaged in a mindful craft activity where they used natural materials such as flowers and leaves to create beautiful bookmarks and photo frames, giving students a meaningful keepsake from the session.
Both activities provided valuable opportunities for pupils to connect with nature, express themselves creatively, and support their mental well-being. It was wonderful to see such positive engagement, with pupils embracing the chance to relax and reflect.
