The Surbiton Ski Racers had another outstanding race trip, with 13 squad members heading out to Switzerland. Surbiton High School won the trophy for overall best school, marking their first win in this competition since 2010, when many of the skiers had not yet been born.
The team completed two days of back-to-back training before the races began. The first event was the giant slalom, where the team secured their first medals of the competition.

Saskia S, who placed 4th overall out of all the girls and 3rd in her age category (U16)
Immy M, who placed 6th overall out of all the girls
Rose J, who came 1st in her age category (U18)
Emma L, who came 3rd in her age category (U18)
Elizabeth O, who came 4th in her age category (U18)
The following day the team competed in the slalom race, rewarded with bright blue skies and sunshine. Once again, the team performed exceptionally well, winning even more medals.

The team spirit of the Surbiton High Ski Team is unmatched and unlike any other on the mountain, making the ski club so special. Whether it was wishing each other good luck before a race, offering pep talks, or helping with ski preparation, the support throughout was exceptional. The whole team cheered each other on during their runs, with a special thank you to the parents who came to support.
