This year’s Fashion & Arts Showcase highlighted the creativity and teamwork of our pupils, who embraced the theme ‘Worlds Beyond’ with great imagination; each House transported audiences into unique realms through inventive fashion and expressive movement.
For the first time, the show opened with an energising performance from the winners of Battle of the Bands, setting a lively tone for both evenings. Congratulations to the overall winners Austen House, with a special mention to Curie House, who secured the audience vote on both Thursday and Friday.
Our Year 12 House Captains deserve particular recognition for their outstanding leadership throughout the process. They supported pupils in Years 7 to 10 from early sketches to the final stage pieces, encouraging collaboration and steady development.
The Fashion & Arts Showcase continues to be a significant part of co‑curricular life at Surbiton High School, offering pupils a chance to explore ideas and work together in a meaningful way. Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to all who supported this inspiring event, with all proceeds from the ticket sales, bar and raffle donated to our two School charities, Kujuwa Initiative and Cold Feet Foundation, and this year’s House charities, Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, Growbaby, Voices of Hope, Save the World Club and Skylarks.
A huge thank you to the following businesses for their donations to the raffle: 360 Degree Clinic, Alcheme Wellbeing, All Things Pilates, Bordelaise, F45 Training Surbiton, Klass Reformer, Pimentae, Pottery and Craft Studio Surbiton, Shoes at Last, Simon Smith Flowers, The French Table, Third Space Wimbledon, This Works.
