After a successful weekend at the Surrey Champs, the Surbiton performance squad, we’re excited to head up to Swadlincote for the British Championships. After a training session on Saturday night, the team were raring to go for Sunday’s race. The team fought hard with the cold conditions and a tougher course than in Norwich. The team performed incredibly well, with the A team placing 2nd and the B team placing 5th (the best-placed B team), alongside some standout individual results: Saskia S, 4th, and Freya T, 5th. The afternoon nations race also saw Freya T take the win with England A. The team all performed brilliantly this weekend to finish off the dry slope season and showed great teamwork and compassion for each other. We are now looking forward to the snow races next term.
