GCSE Results 2022

Posted: 25th August 2022

We are delighted to share with you that our pupils have received an outstanding set of GCSE results this year; with 45.9% of all grades achieved at grade 9, 72.1% at grades 9-8, 90.1% at grade 9-7 and 97.1% at grade 9-6. 16 subjects achieved over 90% of grades at grade 9-7.

85 pupils were awarded at least 8 GCSEs at grade 9-8, including 19 students who achieved at least 9 grade 9 GCSEs. 140 pupils were awarded 8+ GCSEs at grade 9-7.

We are thrilled that 144 pupils are staying on to benefit from the fantastic opportunities available to them in Sixth Form and we are looking forward to welcoming those external candidates who have also been able to gain a place into the Sixth Form.

Despite the pressures and challenges of teaching over the last two years our staff have diligently supported pupils throughout with nearly 100% of lessons running online during remote learning by providing individual and group support and mentoring for all pupils to help them achieve their phenomenal outcomes.

Rebecca Glover, Principal, stated: “This has been a fantastic year for our GCSE pupils and I am so proud of the challenges they have overcome. Every pupil’s results have a story behind them and we celebrate their hard work and commitment to their studies that has led to these successes.

Our pupils balance their academic studies with an array of co-curricular clubs and interests and it is no mean feat to balance these interests with their academic studies. We look forward to welcoming so many of them back into the Sixth Form to continue their journey with us. “
