YEARS 3 TO 6 ENTERED THE TIMES TABLES ROCK STARS MATHS ‘ROCK OUT’ COMPETITION

Posted: 19th November 2020

Practising times tables is absolutely key to Maths, and so last week the children in Years 3 to 6 entered the Times Tables Rock Stars Maths ‘Rock Out’ competition; a national challenge for all the schools across the UK.

The Boys’ and Girls’ Preps worked together to score as many points as they could for the School.  They did so well, managing to score a massive 387,350 points from correct answers! We came a very respectable 158th place out of the 3,887 schools taking part. A special mention goes to Year 6 who led the way scoring the most points of any year group in the Girls’ Prep.

Four players really stood out from the Boys’ Prep, and they scored nearly 100,000 of those points between them! They were William in Year 5, Arjan and Riyaan in Year 4 and Hugo in Year 3. Well done to everyone who took part in the competition!

Four players really stood out from the Girls’ Prep, all scoring over 5,000 points! They were Amelie in Year 6, who scored a very impressive 13,870 points, Sophie and Amelie  in Year 6 and, making it a family affair, Caitlyn in Year 4. Well done to everyone who took part in the competition and represented the School so well.
