Last Friday’s Graduation ceremony for our wonderful Year 2 girls did not pass without a few joyful tears as this fabulous group of girls celebrated the end of their time in Key Stage 1 and their move into the juniors. Never has a group of girls been more ready for the challenges ahead of them, having shown such fortitude, resilience and independence during this period of Home Learning.
Far from cramping their style, the virtual nature of the event brought us all closer, as families cuddled their daughters with pride and presented them with well-deserved medals and certificates. Especially touching was the moment when two of our key worker mummies surprised their daughters by attending the ceremony from hospital.
In the lead up to our celebration, the girls shared their thoughts about what strength meant to them. We are so incredibly proud of the strong, inspirational young women these girls are growing into and we cannot wait to see them flourish as they move into the exciting next chapter of their life at Surbiton.
