Year 6 Dissection Lesson

Posted: 19th May 2022

This week, the Year 6 boys were very fortunate to have two Senior School Biology teachers, Mrs Horwood and Mr Murphy, perform a dissection of a sheep’s heart at Avenue Elmers. This was linked to the boys’ current topic, Functions of the Human Body, and more specifically, the circulatory system. It was a fantastic way for the boys to see the theory in practice and the they were able to apply their prior knowledge and ask any curious questions they had about the heart. We are incredibly privileged to have such passionate, knowledgeable teachers from the Senior School who can share their expertise in a particular subject.
