Surbiton High School’s gymnasts delivered an exceptional performance at the British National Finals – the pinnacle of the gymnastics calendar – with pupils competing across the Acrobatics and Floor and Vault disciplines.
In the Acrobatics National Finals, Surbiton High School pupils achieved impressive national placings:
- U11 Girls Pair – 5th place
- Tilly J and Camilla M-T
- U14 Girls Pair – 4th place
- Amber J (Year 8) and Eva R (Year 8)
- U19 Girls Pair – 5th place
- Daisy A (Year 12) and Louisa S (Year 10)
- U19 Group – 4th place
- Emmie A (Year 12), Annabel C (Year 11), Maeve H (Year 10), Amber J (Year 8), Eva R (Year 8), Louisa S (Year 10)
The weekend’s highlight came on Sunday afternoon, as the School’s most senior gymnasts took to the stage in the U19 Floor and Vault competition – one of the most competitive categories of the entire event. The team delivered exceptional performances, combining dynamic vaults with polished floor routines. With just 0.45 points separating first and second place out of a possible 128.0, the results were always going to be tight.
In an exciting conclusion to the weekend, Surbiton High School’s U19 team were crowned the 2025 Floor and Vault National Champions:
- U19 Girls – 1st place, National Champions
- Emmie A (Year 12), Annabel C (Year 11), Maeve H (Year 10), Eva R (Year 8), Louisa S (Year 10)
In addition, Emmie A was awarded Highest Overall Scoring Girl, closely followed by Maeve H, who was only 0.05 points behind.
