Surbiton High Girls’ Prep Coffee Morning Recital

Posted: 15th May 2024

On Tuesday 30 April, parents, teachers, and fellow pupils gathered to enjoy a musical performance, full of prowess, by a group of Year 6 girls. For us, it was our last ever coffee morning recital at the Prep School – the end of an era!

It was a showcase ranging from captivating musical instruments to stirring vocals. Each of us performed on the instrument of our choice: from piano to violin, drums to French horn. The audience was treated to a showcase of creativity and talent that left a lasting impression on them.

We were greeted by a resounding round of applause from the spectators at the end of our performance. Our Head Teacher congratulated us on our hard work and commented on how each choice of musical instrument suited our individual personalities.

We are thankful to our music team for organising this musically magnificent moment. As Shakespeare once said: “If music be the food of love, then play on.”
