Little Shop of Horrors 2021

Posted: 26th November 2021

Surbiton High School’s recent production of the much-loved horror/comedy Little Shop of Horrors was an outstanding success. Over 2,000 audience members watched the four-performance run at the wonderful Richmond Theatre, which involved more than 150 pupils from Year 4 to Year 13 and countless staff.

After being unable to put on a show in 2020, and with auditions for this show delayed due to the pandemic, it was wonderful to be able to get back to one of the highlights of the school year. The annual musical is a huge collaboration of pupils and staff from all corners of the school, and the hard work of all was certainly worth it, with many audience members claiming that this was, once again, the best show that we’ve ever put on!

There were stellar performances from the principal characters, great singing and dancing from the ensembles, and superb performances from our Prep pupils as various little plants! The band once again included a number of pupils, whose performances matched those of the staff and professionals also present.

On behalf of the staff involved, we would like to send our congratulations to all involved in the show. It was a delight to work with you all, and we look forward to seeing many of you again in auditions for the 2022 production!
