GIRLS’ PREP PRIZEGIVING 2021

Posted: 8th July 2021

What a difference a year makes. 2020 saw our first online Prize Giving; this year, we were still restricted in how we could celebrate, but nonetheless were determined to reward the class of 2021 in the most personal way possible.

It was wonderful to be able to gather in the Runcie Hall, to share the event with parents and the rest of KS2, albeit online.

Whilst COVID-19 has featured in most of this school year, the speeches by both Mrs Glover and Ms Stewart refused to dwell on the negatives and paid tribute to the tenacity and resilience of each and every girl in Year 6.

Performances by our Wind Band, Orchestra and Choir were exceptionally moving and enjoyed by both the audience in the Runcie Hall as well as by those watching remotely. The Head Girl Teams from across the year spoke eloquently and it was a joy to see the beaming smiles on each girl’s face as their accolades were read aloud and their shields awarded.

The Wordles prepared by every pupil were commemorated in an individual frame by our supportive parents. We are so grateful for all the work that has gone into ensuring our 2021 leavers have been able to wear their hoodies with pride, especially the extra pupil named Stewart.

None of us will forget you, nor the impact Ms Stewart has had on her very own class of 2014.
