Last Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day at the Boys’ Prep.
The boys had World Book Day themed lessons throughout the week. EYFS and KS1 had a virtual author visit from author and illustrator, Zehra Hicks. She shared activities related to ‘Cheeky Monkey’, ‘Pug Hug’, ‘The Worrying Worries’ and ‘The Problem with Problems’. The boys created characters and also experienced live drawing sessions. During Form Time, we had our traditional World Book Day costume parade virtually. We were so impressed with all the boys’ costumes. It was wonderful to see so many boys enjoying the pleasure of reading. Well done to all the boys and keep reading! One boy was so delighted by the experience he said “World Book Day was just like Christmas!”
A big congratulations to our overall winner Shahmeer for his remarkable Fawkes the Phoenix costume. Our brilliant runners up were William F for his The Smeds and the Smoos costume, Ishaan for his BFG costume and Leo (4CJ) for his Auggie costume.
