A-level Results 2020

It has been a challenging time for all students this year and especially our Year 13s who have ended their time at Surbiton High School during lockdown and without the true test of their final public exams at the School.

We are extremely proud of the strength of character they have shown throughout and how diligently they have continued with their studies, post A-level programme, super-curricular programme, career talks and virtual work experience.

It has been our pleasure to be able to offer extensive support to students as they go through the UCAS process today and we’ve spoken with every student and heard about and helped them all on their onward journeys.

We would like to pass on our congratulations to all our pupils and are delighted that 83% of students have secured their first-choice at university. We currently have 119 students (88%) with secured places at Russell Group, Times Top Ten universities and Medical Schools and approximately 50% of students going on to study STEM.

Rebecca Glover stated:

It has been an extremely difficult time for our students who have worked diligently and consistently throughout their A-level studies both prior to lockdown and during. I am in awe of the resilience and true Surbiton spirit they have shown throughout, and we wish them all the very best in their future and look forward to being able to celebrate their results and the end of their time at Surbiton High School.
