Marinke moved to London in 1983 from the Netherlands to set up the UK branch of a leading American offshore consultancy and subsequently went on to found her own offshore consultancy in 1986. After selling her company in 1992, Marinke became part of their worldwide SAP software implementation programme. Throughout her professional career, Marinke has overseen many operational areas of industry, including Administration, Facilities, Finance, Healthy & Safety and Human Resources. She joined Surbiton High School in 2004, where she is now the Business Director.
She has a love for travel and adventure; a notable highlight being her year-long trip around the world in 2002 to 2003. When at home, she enjoys socialising with friends, going to the cinema and the theatre, gardening and taking care of her wide variety of pets.
