RECEPTION ENTRY – SEPTEMBER 2025

- Once registered, your daughter will be invited to attend a small-group ‘Stay and Play’ session in School. This session will allow her to explore our fun and exciting learning environment, meet our inspiring staff, get to know other prospective pupils, and allow us to observe your daughter in our Early Years setting.
RECEPTION ENTRY – SEPTEMBER 2026
- Registration for entry to Reception at our Girls’ Prep School should be made by 12.00 midday on Monday 3 November 2025. There is a non-returnable application fee of £200 (or £250 if applying from overseas).
- Once registered, your daughter will be invited to attend a small-group ‘Stay and Play’ session in school on Saturday 8 November 2025. This session will allow her to explore our fun and exciting learning environment, meet our inspiring staff, get to know other prospective pupils, and allow us to observe your daughter in our Early Years setting.
- As part of the admissions process, we may contact your daughter’s current nursery or pre-school to request a confidential report and may also arrange to visit her there, to observe her in a familiar setting.
- We aim to inform all parents of the outcome of their daughter’s application as soon as possible. Offers of places will be made following the ‘Stay and Play’ sessions.
- Places must be accepted by the deadline stated in the offer letter. Acceptance paperwork should be returned to the school, and the non-refundable £1,000 deposit paid via BACS in order to secure the place.
7+ ENTRY – SEPTEMBER 2026
- Registration for entry to Year 3 at our Girls’ Prep School should be made by 12.00 midday on Monday 3 November 2025. There is a non-refundable application fee of £200 (or £250 if applying from overseas).
- The Entrance Assessment date is to be confirmed but will likely take place in early January 2026.
- As part of the admissions process, we will contact your daughter’s current school prior to the assessment to request a confidential report.
- The assessments will comprise Mathematics and English components. The Mathematics assessment includes number operations, fractions, and shapes, whilst the English assessment involves reading aloud, creative writing, and comprehension. Both assessments are standardised and age-appropriate.
- We aim to inform all parents of the outcome of their daughter’s application as soon as possible.
- Places must be accepted by the deadline stated in the offer letter. Acceptance paperwork should be returned to the school, and the non-refundable £1,000 deposit paid via BACS in order to secure the place.
ENTRY INTO OTHER YEAR GROUPS – OCCASIONAL PLACES
- Owing to a small number of families relocating, we occasionally have spaces available in other year groups. Please contact the Admissions Department to ascertain availability in the relevant year group before applying – admissions@surbitonhigh.com. Candidates applying outside of standard entry points are required to sit an age-appropriate assessment.
