MEET THE NEW GIRLS’ PREP YEAR 6 HEAD GIRL TEAM

Posted: 15th October 2020

Our new Deputy, Eirian 6S, and Head Girl, Mayako 6S, agreed to be interviewed this morning after a rigorous application process.

A brief transcript of the interview can be read here. We are so proud of both of  them and look forward to seeing them put their words into action over the coming months.

Q1:

Why did you apply for the Deputy and Head Girl roles?

Mayako:  Since Reception, I have looked up to the Head Girl and thought I would like to do that role too.

Eirian :  I wanted to help people and make sure they are doing the right thing.

Q2

What did the application process entail?

Mayako: Answering questions in an interview with Ms  Stewart and Mr Williams who asked us, “What are your experiences and why do you think you would be good at the role?”. I answered the questions as honestly as I could.

Q3

What was the thing that made you stand out?

Eirian: Be confident and if you see anything or anyone struggling, make sure you step in and not worry about it.

Q4

What was the hardest part of the process?

Mayako: Being asked to say why I am a good leader, which made me think and reflect my behaviour in the past  and how I have learnt from mistakes

Eirian: Admitting when I had messed up in the past by not concentrating, but I got over this by becoming more confident.

Q5

What are you most looking forward to:

Both girls said, “We want to show everyone how good our School is and promote it to prospective parents”.

The Girls’ Prep is in safe hands!
