Surbiton High School is celebrating an exceptional end to the hockey season following outstanding success in the England Hockey Championships.
In an extraordinary week for the Hockey Programme, three Surbiton High School teams secured national titles, demonstrating the strength, depth and commitment of pupils across the School.
The U14 team were crowned Tier 1 National Champions after defeating Repton 2 to 0 in the final.
The U18 team also achieved national success, winning the Tier 1 Plate National Final with a 7 to 0 victory against St George’s.
The U16 team completed the School’s hat trick of titles, winning the Tier 1 Plate National Final with a 1 to 0 victory against Oakham.
The School is extremely grateful to the dedicated staff who support the Hockey Programme. The success of the season reflects the commitment and expertise of the Hockey Department, led by Mr Jonny Gall, Head of Hockey, alongside coaches Ellie, Jake, John, Tim, Emma and Tommy, who have all given a huge amount to support the pupils throughout the year.
This remarkable week of national success highlights the continued strength of hockey at Surbiton High School and provides a fitting conclusion to a memorable season.
