It was a normal Friday Assembly when the boys first found what their house songs would be. The anticipation was at breaking point as Mrs Headley read out the allocated songs all with an animal theme.

Over the next week both boys and staff worked in tandem to produce an outstanding piece of music which would both entertain and astonish us, and that was just the staff dancing!
The boys were not only fighting for the coveted House Singing Champion but also for a valuable 150 house points towards their overall score. With the contest as hotly contested as ever, we knew the event would be a close-run thing, and so it proved. Ultimately, Balmoral proved to be successful for the Charles Burney House crown, and Caernarvon were the victors for Avenue Elmers. Special mention to Mrs Headley for orchestrating her first House Singing and to all the staff and boys who helped to make the event a wonderful spectacle.
