Surbiton High School alumna Chemmy Alcott is bringing the thrill of the Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy, to viewers as she presents for the British Broadcasting Corporation.
A decade ago, Chemmy was dominating the slopes herself, taking first place in six categories at the British School Girls Championships in Flaine. She studied at Surbiton High School from 1993 to 2000, remembering her time here as supportive, happy and truly significant, and she remains close to the friends she made along the way.
Chemmy’s incredible career includes competing in four Winter Olympic Games and seven FIS World Championships. She has been the overall British national champion seven times and the overall British ladies’ champion eight times.
Reflecting on her School years, Chemmy’s advice to her younger self is simple but powerful: enjoy every minute of your learning life.
