A few of the highlights from our summer season:
This season has been our most exciting yet, with more pupils playing the sport than ever before. While the outstanding results rightly grab the headlines, what has made us most proud as staff is the way our pupils have conducted themselves – both on and off the pitch.
The spirit and togetherness shown in both triumph and adversity, the pride in representing the School, and the unwavering commitment to playing the game the Surbiton way have been truly inspiring.
Here are just some of the highlights from an unforgettable season:
The season also included a fantastic tour to Porto, and unforgettable opportunities to play at professional venues such as Wembley, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and St George’s Park – the national training home of England’s football teams.
In the Easter holidays, 16 gymnasts flew out to Barcelona for the Gymnastics Tour and competition at Sabadell Gimnastic Club. This two-way friendly competition was split into age group categories, with Spanish and English gymnasts competing in each. All performed super floor routines and vaults, and we came away we several medals, winning 2 of the 3 categories we entered.
At the Acrobatics National Finals in May, the U11, U14 & U19 Girls Pairs, along with the U19 Group, all finished in the top 5 in the country!
At the Floor + Vault National Finals in May, our U19 Girls Team comprising of Emmie A (Year 12), Annabel C (Year 11), Maeve H (Year 10), Eva R (Year 8) and Louisa S (Year 10), all performed outstanding floor routines and dynamic vaults to fight off some very tough competition and take the title, to be crowned the BSGA 2025 National Champions!Emmie also won the very prestigious award of Highest Overall Scoring Girl.

The 2024-25 season has been nothing short of remarkable for Surbiton High School Hockey. Across the Senior School, we played an incredible 266 matches, involving 244 pupils across 18 senior teams. It has arguably been the most successful hockey season in the School’s history, with every performance squad reaching at least a national quarter-final.
The level of commitment, skill development, and teamwork displayed across all age groups has been exemplary, and our pupils have once again demonstrated why Surbiton High School continues to be one of the leading hockey schools in the country.:
