The Girls’ Prep recently held a colour run to mark the arrival of spring, filling the School grounds with vibrant colours and a lively sense of celebration. Pupils, teachers and staff all dressed in white, ready to be transformed by clouds of coloured powder along the route.
As participants made their way around the course, they were showered with bright bursts of pink, blue, yellow and green, reflecting the energy of the season and the spirit of new beginnings. The event was a joyful occasion that brought the whole community together, promoting physical activity, teamwork and togetherness.
Before the colour run began, the School was delighted to welcome back Mr Patel, a parent of a pupil in Year 11. He delivered a talk about how his family celebrates Holi, a Hindu festival that also uses colour to mark the triumph of good and the arrival of spring. His personal reflections added meaning and context to the day’s celebrations, helping the girls gain a deeper understanding of this cultural tradition.
Following the run, the celebration continued with a dance workshop led by Senjuti, who introduced everyone to high-energy Bollywood routines. Her enthusiasm and expertise made for a lively and engaging session, offering a fun and memorable insight into Indian dance styles.
The day was a fantastic mix of enjoyment, learning and cultural appreciation—an uplifting way to welcome the new season and inspire pupils to embrace new experiences with open minds and enthusiasm.
