The Year 12 and 13 Philosophy students visited the Paradox Museum in London on November 25, 2024. The museum has curated numerous interactive optical, kinesthetic and tactile illusions which confront us with the disconnect between sensory information and our mental constructs.
This immersive experience not only sparked intellectual curiosity but also allowed students to immerse themselves in an environment that constantly challenges them to reconsider the way in which they invariably interact with the external world and to question their intuitive notion of ‘reality’. By confronting the disconnect between sensory information and mental constructs, our students gained a deeper appreciation for the complexities of human perception and the limitations of our intuitive understanding of the world.
