A-level chemists attended a conference day at the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster and were engaged in amazing talks which covered a variety of different topics, linking chemistry to both biology and physics. The speakers gave insight on a variety of careers in Chemistry, speaking on their own research and highlighting socio-economic barriers we face in distributing certain kinds of medicines, and how we can bypass this with alternative medicine synthesis. Pupils also heard about the inspiring academic journeys of three young Chemists.
