Year 13 Politics students had a fascinating day at the Eccles Centre, part of the British Library, and were lucky to hear from two former Members of Congress: Representative Loretta Sanchez (California – Democrat) and Representative Greg Walden (Oregon – Republican), as well as academics in the field of US Politics. This gave students a range of perspectives and information on the topics they were studying in the A-level course. A particular highlight was the personal insights by the representatives into their working relationships with US Presidents since George W. Bush – some were complimentary and others scathing. We look forward to repeating the trip next year with the current Year 12 Politics cohort.
