The Music Department took 26 pupils to see Wicked at the Victoria Apollo Theatre on Thursday, 12 October. This trip provided the opportunity to see a performance of ‘Defying Gravity’, one of the GCSE set works, in the context of the whole story.
The pupils were mesmerised by the quality of singing, acting and dancing, as well as the audio and visual effects. Pupils commented that the story was bitter- -sweet; moments of fantastic humour followed by moments of tragedy. We recommend!
