Camp YA, a Young Adult book festival, has announced that its third event will take place on 29 and 30 July 2023. Starting as an online festival during the COVID Lockdown in 2020 and 2021, the third instalment will be a hybrid festival consisting of panels, workshops, competitions and much more!

Authors including E. Lockhart, 2023 Waterstones Children’s Book Award winner Nadia Mikail, Sara Barnard and Cynthia So will come together both online and at Studio Wayne McGregor in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to celebrate with fans of young adult literature from all over the world. Camp YA’s charity partner, Room to Read, also returns this year, raising awareness to create a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality.

Camp YA was co-founded by Lorna, 13A, who is returning to co-produce the event this year.

‘It’s so brilliant for Camp YA to be returning this year and to be bringing it to an in-person venue – it’ll open the door for so many new people to experience the magic of their favourite books with a special Camp YA twist.’

Tickets for this year – available as day or weekend tickets – are available via Eventbrite, as well as a Pass It Forward scheme for those coming to the festival who could not otherwise afford to do so.  Book your ticket at campyafest.eventbrite.co.uk
