Surbiton High Prep Schools Key Stage 1 Sports Day

Posted: 14th June 2023

On Tuesday 6 of June, our Surbiton High Prep Schools came together with our KS1 pupils from Surbiton High Boys’ Prep and Surbiton High Girls’ Prep venturing to Hinchley Wood for the highly anticipated annual SHS Sports Day.

From the Egg and Spoon Race to the 50-metre sprints, the boys and girls pushed themselves to their absolute limits to win vital house points for their houses in a bid to take home the trophy! The boys and girls embraced the values of Surbiton Prep by showing great respect, compassion, and courage. The community feel around Hinchley Wood was also a credit to the parents and staff, who work tirelessly to ensure Surbiton is a safe place where the pupils love to learn.

Though slightly overcast for much of the day, the prep students performed spectacularly, using key skills and attitudes learned in PE lessons to showcase themselves to their peers and parents. Arundel came out victorious but by the barest of margins. A huge well done to all involved, and a special mention to Mr Blood and Miss Pottay and the PE team for such a successful and enjoyable day.
