Year 3 Roman Workshop

Posted: 6th February 2023

On Thursday 26 January, Year 3 took part in a Roman Workshop at School. The boys were visited by Titus, the Roman legionary soldier, who had come to share his knowledge and expertise. Titus had a range of activities planned. The day started with the story of the growth of the Roman Empire. The boys then discovered how the Romans were so successful when invading, and took part in some Roman army drills and battle formations. It was fantastic to see so many pupils in costume and in role. Throughout the rest of the day, the boys learned about Boudicca’s rebellion, played the Roman maths game (Delta), handled Roman artefacts and completed a research quiz. This was a wonderful day of exciting activities which enabled the boys to immerse themselves in Roman culture and history.
