Clearly demonstrating two of the Surbiton High’s values – compassion and community – the parents, pupils and staff have raised almost £10,000 to support those most vulnerable in our community this Christmas.
In the light of an escalating energy and cost-of living-crisis, recently we invited our School community to support local charity, RBKares, in providing Warmer Winter Kits to the most vulnerable families in the area who will struggle to keep warm this winter.
Thanks to a tremendous effort we have been able to supply more than 200 kits – double our original target! In addition, waterproof rucksacks have been provided instead of cotton drawstring bags, and sleeping bags are being given to those most at risk.
RBKares is absolutely delighted with Surbiton High School’s response to their appeal and the donations mean they can help far more people in desperate need this Christmas. We are extremely grateful and humbled by the kindness, compassion, and generosity of our entire school community.
