Kindness Fortnight by Journalist, Isabella, 6S

Kindness Fortnight ended with the Year 4 assembly, with both parents and children overwhelmed by the range and thought that had gone into each act of kindness. We reached out to our community by sending cards and letters.

Year 6 created kindness fortune tellers, writing down lovely qualities about everyone. A kindness booklet was given to everyone; where they recorded acts of kindness both inside and outside of School.

Look at some of the kindness acts from Reception to Year 6:

“I let my brother use my pens and I tidied them up for him. I felt happy because I was helping someone I loved.” – Jemima, 2W, Caernarvon

“I made a card for all the doctors at Kingston Hospital.” – Emilia, RecB

“I switched off the light when nobody was in there. I felt like I did my bit to save the world.” – Elizabeth, 3D, Caernarvon

And honestly – sometimes saving the planet can be tiring when you are walking backwards and forwards to School!

We will carry on being kind, not just for two weeks!
