Gothia Cup

During the end of July, Surbiton High Boy’s Prep pupils, old and new, ventured off to Sweden to participate in the Gothia Cup, which is a worldwide youth football tournament. Boys had the chance to play against teams from Sweden, France, Italy and Norway amongst others and also sample the delights of the town of Gothenburg for one whole week. I had the pleasure of coaching an Under 13 team for the duration of the tournament whilst boys from Years 5/6 alongside some old boys played in the U11, U12 and U13 competitions. It was an exciting week of football and memories were created which will last a lifetime!
