SCOPE Day 2022

On Wednesday 2 March, we held our second Surbiton-COPE (SCOPE) day of the year where the whole Senior School came together to focus on personal development. Years 7 to 13 were off timetable for Periods 3, 4 and 5 and spent the afternoon focusing on topics from the core PSHE curriculum themes of ‘Keeping Healthy and Safe’ and ‘Living in the Wider World’.

Pupils had the opportunity to listen to experts including Henry Hudson from People Change Minds and guest speakers from IT Happens on ‘Habit Forming’ and ‘Freedom and Festivals’, The RAP Project’s informative talks on ‘Altered, Airbrushed and Unrealistic’, ‘Social Skills for Life’ and ‘Everyone’s Invited: Now What?’.

As part of the day, each year group also participated in some classroom-based activities led by their Form Tutor on a range of themes including staying safe online, leading the School, inclusivity and mindfulness.
