Founders’ Day

Posted: 17th February 2022

It was a delight to be able to celebrate Founders’ Day in person again this year. It was marked by an Assembly for each Year group on the theme of ‘Community’. This week we celebrated being part of a supportive community that stretches back as far as 1884 and that will continue to stretch into the future. Being part of Surbiton High School is to be part of the ‘Green & Silver Club’, a network of individuals who stand ready to support every member of the community to realise their dreams. Some of our Year 7s contributed to the Assembly by sharing their own insights into a selection of our pioneering alumnae.
Thursday saw the whole School community coming together to enjoy iced buns in the Quad while being serenaded by Mr Fisk and Mr Gibbons. And finally, today we remembered our founders at a very special service at St Mark’s church.

Founders’ Day is always an important celebration and a special thank you to all who were involved.
