Ms Rusholme set her Year 13 pupils a fantastic task over the summer break of writing a gothic tale in the form of a children’s book.
We had completed the material for the course and the students had done their TAG assessments so we were using lesson time creatively. The students were inspired by The Bloody Chamber (one of the set texts) and Goblin Market; they combined the two to re-tell the short stories in the style of The Gruffalo.
The story was published in full in issue 93 of EMag with a further blog post published on their website.
