The girls were fortunate to have Andy Turner – European and Commonwealth Games Gold medallist and three-time Olympian in Athletics – speak at assembly two weeks ago.
The girls asked insightful questions that Andy answered with passion; they learnt so much about the highs and lows of sport and how to overcome these. The Sports Ambassadors facilitated these questions from each of the different year groups.
The key take-away from his speech was to dream big, aim high, and never give up on what you love doing!
