Last week, we celebrated the power of reading with a ‘Drop Everything and Read’ week.
The boys have had opportunities any time, anywhere to stop what they are doing and to read. Form 4CJ enjoyed reading time in the sun at Avenue Elmers and 3AB took the opportunity to read in the music room. The boys’ love of reading has been evident, as their faces lit up at the words, ‘Drop Everything and Read!’
Reading takes us on a magical journey. Not only is it a calming activity, but it has a significant impact on our minds and bodies, including lowering our heart rate. It has been wonderful to hear about where the boys enjoy reading at home and in School.
It has been so special to share new recommendations for books they have enjoyed.
