The sun was shining and everyone was excited to board the coach for our first visit to Hinchley Wood and Learning Outside the Classroom (LOC).
We had lots of things to remember about keeping safe and on the coach, and we al tried to do our seatbelts independently. We had lunch in the sunshine with a big picnic, which we all enjoyed – French stick, Mini Cheddars, fromage frais and an orange filled us up.
After that, we walked up the hill and into the woods, listening to the sounds of the birds and looking for signs of woodland animals. Then came the messy bit! We used all our fabulous mud kitchen resources to make lots of muddy birthday treats for Miss Palmer.
We are looking forward to many more afternoon woodland visits, including a shape hunt next week!
