Our Career Programme at Surbiton High School provides a rich tapestry of opportunities for our students to help guide and prepare them for the future work place.
The careers programme which starts in Year 7 broadens pupil’s minds towards GCSE/A-level choices and navigating career opportunities and future employment, through pschyometric testing, CV and competency workshops and leadership and entrepreneurship courses to name but a few elements!
Surbiton High School entered the ISP Student Careers Programme Award this year and were delighted to receive a Highly Commended nomination, for the award which recognised the value of depth of the programme in place at Surbiton High School.
This is also recognised by parents and industry alike! A parent of a former student said: “The Careers Department’s advice was instrumental in my daughter’s A-level options. Two years later, she left with 3 A*s and a place at UCL!”
Yana Ing, VP at Barclays commented: “As the VP at Barclays where we run the Barclays LifeSkills programme designed to help young people develop the skills they need for the 21st century, I have been impressed by the quality of career activities available to students at Surbiton to help them prepare for the world of work.”
