Year 2 were very fortunate to have been invited by Insight, Kingston to join them on the Christmas Journey. This event was an immersive, multi-sensory retelling of the Christmas story; from watching Mary as she bakes bread in her kitchen, to meeting the wise men on the hillside, then on to travelling to a cosy and warm stable in Bethlehem. The girls were given the opportunity to engage with why the Christmas story is still so important to Christians today. In addition to this, all the girls were given a small craft activity to be completed at School. They were all given the opportunity to ask any questions that may have arisen during the journey and then they were given time to reflect on what they had learned. Thank you to the staff who accompanied us and especially to the Insight team who made this such a memorable experience for us all.
