Surbiton High School Equestrian Team Success - 18/06/2010

Surbiton High School Equestrian Team recently attended the NSEA show jumping team event run by Farlington School at the Royal Leisure showground in Sussex. All the girls won rosettes.

Two of our regular team members, Sophie Weaver and Rosie Leslie, sadly had to pull out at the last minute as their horses were out of action, but fortunately another team member, Jess Robinson, stepped in.

The Surbiton High School team comprised Emma Vartevanian, Jess Robinson and Phoebe Wilman. We were placed 6th in the 80cm class and 4th in the 90cm class despite very stiff competition and being disadvantaged by only having three in our team. Very well done to the girls.

In the individual 80cm class, which was against the clock, Jess Robinson rode a very tricky course brilliantly and came first. Congratulations once again to our Equestrian Team.
