Surbiton High Junior Girls enjoy Medieval Experience - 11/06/2010

On the Friday before half term KS1 had a marvellous medieval experience with a real knight visiting them. For this special occasion all the girls dressed as knights, queens, princesses and we even had a dragon. We spent the morning learning about the knight's weapons and his armour. The girls were amazed by how heavy it was to wear! We all loved seeing Mr Hardie dressed in full body armour, which he clearly enjoyed and didn't want to take off! All the girls had a go at jousting and tried to win points for their house. Arundel were the winners! We spent the afternoon building a castle, which we had even more fun trying to destroy with a trebuchet. We finished off the afternoon with an exciting dragon adventure story.
