Leadership Opportunities

As well as House, Form and Vice Captains and the roles on the School Council there are many other ways we develop leadership in school. Year 6s are given responsibilities each term: librarians, ‘Junior Eco-Stars' (run by Kingston Council Road Safety group), lost property monitors, cloakroom monitors (who judge and award ‘Surbi Ted' to the best cloakroom each week) and so on.

We run a special week each Summer Term such as ‘Take a risk' week during which girls are encouraged to do something out of their comfort zone. Many leadership activities take place during this week. We also learn about group work and the different roles within groups during PSHE.

Our residential trips are another opportunity for girls to develop leadership skills through various activities.
